遊戲中玩家各有一副相同的手牌，每回合根據場中（擂台區）的生物分布狀況，玩家各派一隻生物參戰參戰，例如獨行蝦不喜歡群聚，青花妹最喜歡捕食蝦子，水母最喜歡來搗亂了，「我全都要！」的鯊老大不喜歡與人分享，不同生物有不同的得分方式，需要審慎思考該以什麼選手出賽來獲得最佳的成績。
