The king passed away, and other generals and princes began to rise creating a chaotic period full of intrigues. In the name of protecting the people, each of them took their territories and power one by one, dreaming of the throne.
As a person who holds the Mandate of Heaven, each player will become a force in this turbulent time. Use your strategy to bring your power to the top of them all. Raising fame, launching wars, using infiltrators, etc all to achieve the one goal “Fullfil the Mandate of Heaven, unifying the land”
Set up: Each player is dealt
- 2 character cards, choose one and use the other to present the Supply ( health )
- 1 Thien-menh card ( reshuffle card )
- and 5 playing cards
On your turn:
A player has 2 action points to perform 3 types of action
a) Council meeting: draw a card ( if you use both 2 action points for this type; you will get +1 bonus card )
b) Build or upgrade buildings ( play a card to your playing zone in front of you and pay the cost )
The cost of playing a building card is calculated by subtracting the number on the new card from the number on the previous card. For example: to upgrade a number 3 red building to a number 6 Red building, you have to discard [6-3 ] = 3 cards from your hand.
The same type of buildings are stacked into one column, from the lower to the higher card.
c) Govern buildings
There are 4 types of buildings ( Attact supply, Gain Victory points, Draw more cards, and Regain supply.
Each building can only be activated once in a turn.
The game will be played in many turns until one player achieves 1 out of 3 winning conditions
a) You are the only player who remains in the game, others have been eliminated
b) You has achieved 50 Victory Point
c) When the drawing deck runs out, players will play their full turn in that round. Then who has the highest Victory Points that are still in the game win?
- You can use the Thien-menh card to combine and reshuffle the discard + drawing deck hence stopping the ending condition (c).
